Hamish Albany faces Angus Myers of Grounded Mat Sports — so Hamish is up against the home gym, in the home gym. No hiding on that one.
Mercedes Ayris meets Gráinne O’Mahony of Treaty Grappling.
Both train out of our Stratford gym, so if you have rolled on a Tuesday night you have probably rolled with one of them.

October is a heavy month for us — there is a comp or a fight somewhere almost every week — but the rest of them are in Townsville, Caloundra, Brisbane and Tokyo. This one is in Cairns.
If you have never been to a grappling event, this is the one to start with. You will see people you train with competing, and you will understand what you are watching, which is more than can be said for most first-time sport experiences.
